Light and Shadow Magic, the art of bending light and dark into anything the mind can comprehend, has been integral to the country Premivia for as long as the Rift that splits its planet's core has existed. However, some believe that the magic of Premivia belongs only to that of Gods and that the cursed plague of the land, The Decayed, is the result of witches stealing magic from the Gods. Bert is one of these Witches. They’re an Apprentice Mage to be precise, wild and rebellious. At least, that is how their mentor, Audrina, would describe them. During this time of Civil War, Bert only wishes to join the University of Lustredusk to complete their training and become a certified Mage alongside their childhood best friends. How unfortunate for Bert, as wishes are not granted lightly in dark times and Bert finds themself in the middle of war between their fellow Mages and a cult terrorizing the land, Ahzrael’s Cencalli. Now Bert must accept their place in the war, the distance it will cause between them and their loved ones, as well as the sacrifices that must be made for the Mages of the future.
